Before his BEd program, he served as a teaching assistant in the History Education Department at Seoul National University, where he helped organize professional seminars, counselled aspiring teachers, and supported classroom organization.

He has also taught and mentored learners in international volunteer settings, university mentoring programs, and a foreign language teaching club during military service.

His honours include a Lecture and Research Support Scholarship from Seoul National University (Sep 2021 – May 2022) and a Continuing Student Scholarship from York University (Aug 2025).
